UEFA Champions League: Galatasaray vs Real Madrid - 09-04-2013

Galatasaray vs Real Madrid
UEFA Champions League: quarter final second leg
Date: 09 April 2013 - 18:45 GMT
Stadium: Turk Telekom Arena, Istanbul
Referee: Stephane Lannoy (France)

This match looks over already with Real Madrid taking a commanding 3-0 lead in the first leg.  Madrid wasted no time and went straight on the attack with Cristiano Ronaldo opening the scoring in the 9 minute.  They doubled their advantage in the 30 minute with a goal from Karim Benzema and it looked like things were going to get embarrassing for Galatasaray.  They managed to steady the ship though and it took until the 73 minute for Higuain to get Real Madrid’s final goal of the match to seal a dominant 3-0 win.
Real Madrid has been playing well in the Champions League. Their only lost was against Borussia Dortmund in the group stages playing away, the score was 2-1.
At the start of this competition, they were drawn against strong oppositions and managed to go through along with Dortmund who managed to get the first spot in the group stages. They have also knocked out Manchester United in aggregate from the 2 legs, with a draw in the first leg and beating them 2-1 in the second leg playing away.
Real Madrid beat Galatasaray in the first leg of the quarter-finals by 3 goals playing away and will be looking to defend more in this match.
They have many key players. Their main key player to mention is Cristiano Ronaldo who has currently scored 29 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions so far. He will be the main player to look out for in this match and will be expected to be on the scoresheet.
Galatasaray recorded a comeback victory at home against Mersin Idman Yurdu and kept on sitting at the top of the league. In the first leg, Burak Yilmaz and Dany picked up yellow cards and it made them miss the second leg because of their suspensions. There is no doubt that to miss his top goal scorer is a real blow for coach Fatih Terim. Gokhan Zan should replace Semih Kaya at the centre-back.

 Possible line-ups:
Real Madrid (4-2-3-1): Lopez – Arbeloa, Ramos, Varane, Coentrao – Xabi Alonso, Khedira – Di Maria, Ozil, Ronaldo – Benzema.
Galatasaray (4-4-2): Muslera – Eboue, Nounkeu, Kaya, Balta – Altintop, Melo, Selcuk Inan, Sneijder – Drogba, Yilmaz.
