Arsenal
and Arsene Wenger will be delighted with the weekend’s result against
Norwich City which saw them grab 3 goals in the last 15 mins to overturn
a 1-0 deficit despite some questionable calls going their way,
including the equalizing penalty.
The
weekend’s result will provide Arsenal with confidence and grit required
to achieve a top 4 finish. Arsene Wenger is likely to give Lukas
Podolski, a rarity in recent memory but nonetheless merited for his
strong showing the previous weekend in which a loss would have been
devastating for the gunners’ hopes.
Arsenal will be wary that a draw or a loss could seriously hamper their ambitions and provide impetus to their rivals vying for a place in a European football’s prestigious tournament.
Everton Football Club sit in 6th position with 55 points and last year they came 7th position and couldn’t qualify for the Europa League. They will be looking to get into Europe this season by getting at least top 5. It is fair to say that they have been quite good this season under manager David Moyes, who has spent a long time building the team. They will have a lot of competition from Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and also from their local rivals Liverpool. Everton are currently unbeaten in their last 5 matches they have won 4 of them and drew once. Their recent win was against Queens Park Rangers, who will most likely get relegated this season. This match will be different and will be a lot tougher for them, also playing away doesn’t help too.
