Tottenham vs Liverpool Premier League - 27-08-2016

Tottenham vs Liverpool - Competition: Premier League

Tottenham team will be looking to maintain their unbeaten record having opened with a draw at Everton and snatched a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace in the 2nd matchweek. Spurs are not yet firing on all cylinders but and it appears that Pochettino is desperate to boost his squad before the transfer window slams shut next week and Palace's Wilfried Zaha is the latest name to be linked with White Hart Lane.
Hugo Lloris is Tottenham's only injury concern and will be replaced by Michel Vorm while Mousa Dembelè is out through injury. Vincent Janssen has not have opened his Premier League account just yet, but he has impressed in his performances so far and could start as central forward with Kane just behind him. This means that Dele Alli will be benched or employed as central midfielder. Kyle Walker, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Danny Rose are all set to start in defence once more.
Liverpool team kicked off their English Premier League campaign with a thrilling 4-3 victory at Arsenal on opening weekend but suffered a 2-0 defeat at Burnley last week. The Reds recovered form that show by hammering Burton Albion 5-0 in the League Cup last Tuesday. Klopp’s side do go into the Premier League clash in good goal-scoring form after finding the net nine times in three games so far this season. Anyway, their defense have already conceded 5 goals in 180 minutes.
Emre Can misses out having sustained an ankle injury in the EFL Cup and joins Loris Karius, Sheyi Ojo, Mamadou Sakho, Joe Gomez and Lucas Leiva on the sidelines. Divock Origi is a major doubt beacuse of a muscle injury.  Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum and Adam Lallana are the probable starters in midfield while Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho starting in the wide forward positions. Roberto Firmino is the slight favourite to be deployed in the “false nine” in preference to Daniel Sturridge. Ragnar Klavan and Joel Matip are in contention for a starting berth at centre back.
Tottenham team are without a win in their last seven EPL meetings with Liverpool, losing five times in the process. The Reds played out stalemates with Spurs at Anfield and at White Hart Lane last term - 0-0 at White Hart Lane and 1-1 at Anfield.

Steaua Bucharest vs Manchester City Champions League - August 16, 2016

Steaua Bucuresti vs Manchester City
Competition: UEFA Champions League
Date: 16 August 2016 - Kick-off Time: 19:45 BST
Venue: Arena Nationala, Bucuresti

Steaua Bucharest team have already played six competitive matches and remain unbeaten with 5 wins and a draw. They have won all of their opening three Liga I matches this season and find themselves at the top of the table. Furthermore, Steaua managed to eliminate Sparta Prague in the previous Champions League round thanks to a 2-0 home win and a 1-1 draw back in the Czech Republic.
The Romanian powerhouse has a few familiar faces from the national team that was in France's group at Euro 2016 -  Adrian Popa, Nicolae Stanciu and Mihai Pintilli. Anyway the latter is out through injurym as well as defensive midfield duo Lucian Filip. The Romanian vice-champions have brought two players last week, midfielders Boldrini and striker William, but they are not expected to get their chance here.
Pep Guardiola’s reign as Man City manager got off to a winning start against Sunderland on Saturday courtesy of a late own goal scored by Black Cats' defender Paddy McNair after Jermain Defoe scored the equalizer for Sunderland with 19 minutes left to play. This win might not have been very convincing, but is a certain confidence booster after experiencing a difficult pre-season as they failed to win any of their games in normal time.
Yaya Tourè has not been included in the squad that will play the play-off while captain Vincent Kompany and new signings Gundogan and Leroy Sane are all out injured. Nasri, Denayer, Bony and Mangala definitely are not in Guardiola's plans, and have been left out. Defender Nicolas Otamendi is also a doubt with a muscular problem while Willi Caballero has been Guardiola's preferred goalkeeper so far and will probably start until the arrive of new signing Claudio Bravo. The likes of Aguero, David Silva, Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne are all in line to start up front.

Probable lineups:
Steaua Bucharest: Nita – Enache, Tamas, Tosca, Mom?ilovi? – Achim, Bourceanu – Popa, Tanase, Hamroun – Stanciu.
Manchester City: Caballero – Sagna, Stones, Otamendi, Clichy – Fernando, Fernandinho – de Bruyne, Silva, Nolito – Aguero.

Real Madrid vs Sevilla UEFA Super Cup - 09-08-2016

Real Madrid vs Sevilla - Competition: UEFA Super Cup

Real Madrid team started their ICC quest with a disappointing 3-1 loss to PSG. Then the current Champions League holders recorded back to back wins over Chelsea and Bayern Munich in the same competition. With only 3 games played so far, the Blancos will not be at full strength. Anyway, one silver lining of Real's pre-season has been the sensational form of youngster Marco Asensio.
Cristiano Ronaldo is still out after having picked up that leg injury in the Euro 2016 Final victory over France. His fellow countryman Pepe will miss the match along with Gareth Bale and Toni Kroos after all their extra summer exertions in the Euro 2016. Morata is likely to spearhead the attack, with James Rodriguez and Isco on his flanks. The likes of Casemiro, Modric and Kovacic are expected to start in midfield while Jese Rodriguez has moved to PSG earlier this week. Dani Carvajal should be preferred to Danilo at right-back.
Sevilla team have problems of their own too, having lost manager Unai Emery and key men Grzegorz Krychowiak, Kevin Gameiro and Ever Banega during the summer. Anyway, they should be high on confidence after winning five friendlies in a row in the lead up to this clash, backed up by the new ideas and intensity of coach Jorge Sampaoli.
Luciano Vietto should get the nod to start up front after joining from Atletico. New signing Franco Vazquez is expected to start, though Ganso is also in contention. Konoplyanka and Vitolo are likely to be the starting offensive wingers while Kranevitter and N'Zonzi will start in the middle of the park.
Real won the last time these two sides faced together in the Super Cup back in 2014. The last seven encounters between Real and Sevilla have produced Over 2.5  Goals and both teams found the back of the net in six of those meetings.
